1. Marriage-First Mentality
Corishta is strictly for people serious about marriage and lifelong partnerships. We are not: - A casual dating app
- A social network for flirting
- A platform for promotional content or business solicitation
- A influencer growth channel
Consequence of violation: Account suspension (temporary or permanent)
2. Authenticity & Honest Representation
Your profile is your first impression.
Be honest about:
- Age, marital status, and relationship history
- Religion, caste, and community background
- Education level and current profession
- Intentions and lifestyle choices
Deceiving damages trust for everyone. Fake profiles will lead to account suspension or permanent ban.
3. Respect for Personal Boundaries
Each person controls their own speed. Respect it.
- Do not force anyone to share personal contact details
- Accept if someone isn’t interested in you
- Escalate conversations only if other person is equally interested
- Seek permission before discussing sensitive issues
Consequences: Warning for the first offence. A second violation is a temporary suspension. Third offense—permanent ban.
4. Inappropriate Content & Behaviour -- Zero Tolerance
Absolutely not allowed:- Sexually explicit or suggestive content (images or messages)
- Vulgar, degrading, or profane speech
- Harassment, bullying, or threats
- Discrimination or comments based on caste
- Religious intolerance or mockery
- Discrimination against gender or sexist comments
- Abusive language (verbal, emotional, or passive-aggressive)
What will happen: First offense—account suspension. Second violation - ban for life. Criminal activity reported to law enforcement.
5. Protect Yourself & Others: Financial Security
Matrimonial fraud is a reality. Never share:
- Bank account or card details
- OTP (One Time Password)
- Copies of Government IDs (Aadhar, PAN)
- Loan documents or financial statements
- Family business details
Red flags—report immediately: Money requests, financial help stories, gift card demands, transfer requests, or visa sponsorship claims.
The promise of Corishta: We will NEVER ask you for passwords, OTPs or financial information.
6. Account Security & Integrity
- Use a strong password (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols)
- Do not share login credentials with anyone
- Log out from shared or public devices
- One person = one account (clearly label if family manages it)
- Bot accounts or fake profiles are immediately banned
7. No Spam, Promotions, or Commercial Activity
Prohibited:
- Promoting products, services or businesses
- Sharing referral links or pyramid schemes
- Soliciting or recruiting for jobs
- Fundraising or collecting donations
- Sharing promotional content or advertisements
Consequences: First offense—warning. Second time—suspended account. Three strikes and you are out.
8. Stay Active or Your Profile May Be Deleted
If a profile is inactive for 12 months it may be deleted. Make sure to log in regularly so you stay visible. A dead community gets stale – new members want active and engaged matches.9. Respectful Language & Behavior
What is encouraged:
- Talk about values, goals, and future plans
- Ask about education, profession, and lifestyle
- Discuss family expectations and cultural traditions
- Disagree respectfully if values don’t align
10. Report & Support: Your Voice Counts
Found inappropriate behaviour? “Report it. We take action within 24 hours.
Report:
- Use the Report button on any profile or message

- All reports are confidential and fully investigated
Consequences of Rule Violations
- 1st Violation: Warning notification with explanation
- 2nd Violation: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- 3rd Violation: Permanent ban with deletion of account data
- Severe Violations: Immediate permanent ban and reporting to law enforcement
