Verification Team Leader

Role Overview

As Verification Team Leader you supervise the verification team and own the quality of what it produces. You will manage throughput against the standards, coach the team on the cases they find difficult, and make sure the audit trail is complete enough for every decision to be defended.

Salary

This is a full-time salaried position. Salary for this role is confirmed individually during the hiring process and is based on experience; no fixed figure is advertised at this stage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the verification team and allocate the work fairly
• Own verification quality and review a sample of decisions every week
• Coach the team on the cases they are finding difficult
• Manage throughput and turnaround against the agreed targets
• Escalate the systemic issues that individual cases keep revealing
• Verify the audit trail is complete and that decisions can be defended
• Report on verification volume, quality and escalations

Preferred Skills

Candidate Profile

• Four or more years in verification or a related operations role, with at least two years leading a team
• Experience managing a quality-sensitive operation
• Strong written English and Hindi
• Good judgement on the balance between speed and accuracy
• Calm leadership and the ability to give feedback that improves quality
• Experience in trust and safety or fraud operations
• Familiarity with Indian verification practices
• Exposure to workflow and quality tooling
