UI/UX Designer

Role Overview

As UI/UX Designer you shape how members and field staff actually use Corishta. You will design the screens, the journeys between them and the interactions that make a long form feel shorter. A large part of the job is designing for the actual conditions our users are in: shared phones, low bandwidth and families who may be using the platform for the first time.

Salary

This is a full-time salaried position. Salary for this role is confirmed individually during the hiring process and is based on experience; no fixed figure is advertised at this stage.

Responsibilities

• Design application interfaces for the website and the mobile applications
• Map user journeys and turn them into wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Run usability sessions with members and field staff, and act on what you learn
• Maintain the design system so that every screen looks like it belongs to the same product
• Work closely with engineers to make sure the built screen matches the design
• Design for accessibility and for a wide range of devices and screen sizes
• Document the rationale behind design decisions so the team can extend them

Preferred Skills

Candidate Profile

• Three or more years in UI/UX design for web and mobile products
• A portfolio showing end-to-end work, not only final screens
• Strong command of Figma or a comparable design tool
• Practical understanding of HTML and CSS
• Experience designing for low-bandwidth and low-spec devices
• Experience with a consumer or trust-sensitive product
• Familiarity with design tokens and component libraries
• Basic front-end coding ability
