Software QA Engineer

Role Overview

As Software QA Engineer you are the person who checks that what we build actually works before members and field teams rely on it. You will design test cases, run manual and automated tests, and write clear bug reports that developers can act on. You will also verify each release against the changes it is meant to contain, and you will have a strong voice on what is ready to ship.

Salary

This is a full-time salaried position. Salary for this role is confirmed individually during the hiring process and is based on experience; no fixed figure is advertised at this stage.

Responsibilities

• Write test cases from requirements and keep them current as the product changes
• Execute manual and automated test suites across the website and the mobile applications
• Report defects with clear reproduction steps, severity and expected behaviour
• Verify bug fixes and run regression testing before a release
• Maintain automated test coverage for the critical paths
• Test across the range of devices and browsers our users actually have
• Work with developers to understand the intended behaviour and to close defects quickly

Preferred Skills

Candidate Profile

• Two or more years in software testing
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing
• Ability to write clear bug reports that developers can reproduce
• Basic understanding of SQL and of reading application logs
• Familiarity with at least one test automation framework is an advantage
• Experience testing web and mobile applications
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
• Exposure to CI pipelines and automated test integration
