National Operations Head

Role Overview

As National Operations Head you are responsible for the operating layer of the business below the leadership team. You supervise the state heads, hold the districts to their operating standards, define what a good monthly report contains, and make sure that what happens in one state can be compared fairly with another. You will spend a large part of your time in the field, reviewing operations with district managers directly.

Salary

This is a full-time salaried leadership position with a fixed annual salary. The published range is a market-referenced band and is confirmed individually before an offer is made.

Fixed component: ₹24,00,000 – ₹36,00,000 per annum

Responsibilities

• Supervise the state heads and set a consistent operating standard for every state
• Define the district reporting format and review the numbers on a regular cycle
• Travel to districts and review operations directly with district managers and team leaders
• Identify districts that are not performing and turn them around with a written plan
• Ensure recruitment, onboarding and training standards are followed in every state
• Coordinate with customer care and verification so that operational load does not outpace service quality
• Escalate systemic problems upward with a recommendation, not only a report
• Prepare the monthly national operations review for the leadership team
• Maintain the district expansion plan and advise on which districts to open next

Preferred Skills

Candidate Profile

• Eight or more years in operations, with at least three years supervising multi-state or multi-city teams
• Experience directly managing district, branch or city-level operations
• Strong working knowledge of how field teams are recruited, trained and measured
• Comfort with operational metrics and with holding managers accountable for them
• Extensive travel within Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra
• Experience in a consumer services or network-distributed business
• Exposure to matrimonial, matchmaking or allied relationship services
• Experience onboarding newly opened districts
