Full Stack Developer

Role Overview

As Full Stack Developer you will build features from the database layer up to the interface the member sees. You will work across PHP and MySQL on the server and modern JavaScript tooling on the client, and you will own complete features rather than isolated layers. This is a good fit for someone who prefers to see a feature through from data model to finished screen.

Salary

This is a full-time salaried position. Salary for this role is confirmed individually during the hiring process and is based on experience; no fixed figure is advertised at this stage.

Responsibilities

• Build features across the full stack, from database design through API to user interface
• Develop server-rendered and client-side code using the project’s existing conventions
• Design and consume APIs, and own the data contract behind them
• Implement responsive interfaces that work across devices and screen sizes
• Improve page load performance and the perceived speed of the product
• Work with design to turn a mockup into a working, accessible screen
• Write tests for the business logic in the features you build

Preferred Skills

Candidate Profile

• Three or more years building web applications across both the server and client side
• Strong PHP and MySQL skills, with the ability to work comfortably in JavaScript
• Experience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue or similar
• Practical understanding of responsive design and accessibility
• Ability to scope a feature and estimate the work honestly
• Experience with progressive enhancement and server-rendered pages
• Familiarity with the native Android and iOS applications
• Exposure to AWS or a comparable cloud environment
